2021 Pinot Blanc

2021 Pinot Blanc

If you haven't tried Pinot Blanc before, it's rounder, softer and more aromatic than Chardonnay with well balanced acidity and pretty notes of peach, apricot and hazelnut. Fresh, dry and easy to drink, it's like that easy-going friend that you can go anywhere with (and who's company you never get bored of).

Versatile and elegant; it's delicious with roast chicken, light salads, soft cheeses and the lighter fare we're turning to as we head into spring. It's also incredible with our local Dungeness Crab -- so throw a bottle in the cooler if you're headed to the coast!

Nestled along the east side of our vineyard in an area protected from the Van Duzer winds is a small planting of Pinot Blanc. Benefiting from a long hang time and slow ripening this wine is able to develop increased depth and complexity. Whole cluster pressed and aged on lees for one year, this wine over delivers with notes of Asian pear, honeysuckle, and lemon zest balanced by a delicate presence of hazelnut and brioche. The wine finishes with a lingering acidity.
