No, your eyes are not deceiving you. This fun and different wine came to us during harvest last year when our winemakers decided to experiment with some of our older Pinot Gris plantings on the property. Because the Pinot Gris grape naturally has a darker skin pigment, we let this wine sit on the skins for two days, while sampling every two hours to find the perfect balance of color, aromatics, and subtle tannin on the finish. The final color of this wine immediately reminded our entire team of the radiant sunsets, full of orange and pink hues, we enjoy in the Van Duzer Corridor AVA everyday. On the palate this wine is brimming with ripe stone fruit, melon, and orange blossom that finishes crisp and dry. Only 100 cases of this delicious wine were produced and it is sure to sell out quick!
